In December 2019, the franchise expanded to PlayStation with the release of Yo-kai Watch 4++. Three main sequels and several spinoffs, on both Nintendo and mobile platforms, have been released. The franchise's main work is the role-playing video game series of the same name, the first of which was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013.
